Research

Exponentially increasing medical knowledge improves patient care but also leads to more complicated decision making. Practising clinicians increasingly depend on results and recommendations from the latest published medical literature rather than textbooks. Therefore, to better prepare themselves for advanced clinical training and ultimately independent clinical practice, medical students must learn research methodology and involve themselves in real-world research projects at the earliest possible stage of their careers.

Recognizing this urgent need in medical education, OMC85 Foundation plans to provide opportunities for Osmania Medical College students to participate in faculty-supervised clinical research projects as part of their overall training.
